Prior to joining Pyle Consulting Group, Inc., Dr. Roger Pyle was a Research Scientist and Co-Principal Investigator on various cosmic ray research projects at the University of Chicago and at the Bartol Research Institute at the University of Delaware. Dr. Pyle has over 40 years experience in the study of cosmic rays.
While at the University of Chicago (1965-1998), working with various space probes and satellites, he collected data and published scientific papers. A more complete description of Dr. Pyle’s recent work can be found at http://neutronm.bartol.udel.edu
Since his retirement from the University of Delaware, Dr. Pyle continues to monitor and report on cosmic ray data gathered by scientific instruments located in selected locations in the US, Canada, Antarctica, and Greenland. Through his work this data is available to other cosmic ray researchers around the globe.
In addition to his scientific work Roger is also an expert genealogical researcher, having vast information on the Norwegian Nelson/Steanson family among others. Those interested in furthering their own family history research may find his information useful. His genealogy website is visited frequently, and he is a contributor to the University of Kansas research on Norwegian immigration.
